Plan ahead for World Series Traffic

Despite the excitement of the Detroit Tigers being in the World Series, the show must go on! All performances of the Rat Pack is Back and Menopause The Musical will proceed as scheduled at the Gem & Century Theatres. Traffic on World Series game days will be extremely heavy downtown and around the Gem & Century Theatres. Good planning and patience will help you get to the show on time.

As we saw with the ALCS Games, game times are subject to change, so please check back regularly, listen to traffic and news stations like WWJ 950AM, or keep in touch with the schedule at www.detroittigers.com

World Series Game 6*: Saturday October 28 - Game time: 7:30pm

*If needed.

Menopause The Musical show time: 3:30pm & 7:30pm

The Rat Pack is Back show time: 3:00pm & 8:00pm

1. Matinee performances should not be affected by the World Series game unless the game time is moved up to an afternoon start. Please keep in tune with the game schedule for updates.

2. Plan to arrive downtown very early. Athough the Century Grille is completely full, we recommend having dinner before the show in the downtown area.

3. If you can not make it to our parking garage before 7:00, consider public transportation. The Detroit People Mover services many parking areas in downtown Detroit including Greektown and the Renaissance Center, Cobo Hall, and Joe Louis Arena. The closest People Mover station to the Gem & Century Theatre is the Broadway Station.

4. If you are a Fisher Theatre Subscriber with a pre-paid Gem Theatre Parking Garage Pass... PLEASE ARRIVE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE! We can not stress enough the benefits of arriving early during busy downtown events such as the World Series. The bottom line is: if you arrive later than 7:00pm, YOU WILL MISS THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOW and may have to park elsewhere due to the heavy traffic at the corner of Madison & Brush.

Menopause The Musical show time: 1:00pm & 4:30pm (October 29: 4:30pm only)

The Rat Pack is Back show time: 2:00pm & 7:00pm (October 29: 3:30pm & 7:00pm)

3. The 7:00pm performance of The Rat Pack is Back WILL BE affected by the world series game. Please arrive early to avoid delays. The Century Grille is available for dinner reservations as early as 4:00pm.
