Built in 1903, The Century Theatre first served as the ballroom & gathering hall for the 20th Century Club, a group of civic-minded women who sought to enrich the lives and education of women in the city of Detroit. Today, the theatre has been restored and updated to a state-of-the art theatre and reception space for 60-250 people. NOW SHOWING Deceptions to the Rule... the stuff that schemes are made of! Initially launched in 2003, Comedy Works has played on the Century stage in regular theatrical runs and in one-night-only private and public performances. Such one-night-only events allow the cast to customize the show for a particular audience or need. Comedy Works is currently taking bookings in the Century Theatre for groups of 30 or more, or for private corporate events.
