Menopause The Musical® follows four women at a lingerie sale with nothing in common but a black-lace bra AND memory loss, hot flashes, night sweats, not enough sex, too much sex, and more! This joyful musical parody, set to 25 classic baby-boomer songs from “Puff My God I’m Draggin” to the disco favorite “Stayin’ Awake, Stayin’ Awake,” will have Detroiters cheering and dancing in the aisles again, proving that menopause is not “The Silent Passage” anymore!
In March of 2004 the show opened at the Gem Theatre and quickly broke every sales record for the building. In June 2005 the show became the longest-running show in Michigan history, surpasing Jeff Daniels' Escanaba In da Moonlight. The phenomenon continued for more than 2 years, 9 months, closing on December 17th 2006.
Now the show that the Detroit Free Press called "Detroit's Ultimate Girls' Night Out!" is back at the Gem Theatre for a LIMITED engagement!
Tickets are on sale now for performances through May 4. Group Sales (groups of 15 or more) are available now through May 18, and save $5! CLICK HERE for Groups!
If you missed the show the first time around, don't wait! This is a limited run that will not be as long as the first time it was here!
