Located at the corner of Detroit, The Elwood is the closest sports bar to both Comerica Park and Ford Field - prime seating for Tigers & Lions games and any downtown event!

History in motion

The Elwood is one of Detroit's best Art-Deco buildings. Built in 1938 in exquisit art-deco style, this quaint 80-seat diner was saved from the wrecking ball in 1988 when it was moved three blocks to its current location at the corner of Brush & Adams Streets.  The Elwood gets its name from its original location at the corner of Elizabeth and Woodward (El-Wood). Visitors to the Elwood can look up upon entering the building and see a fresco depicting the building's historic move.

Great Food, Great Beer, Great Times

Since reopening in 1990, The Elwood has become a favorite of Detroit sports fans. Located steps from Ford Field & Comerica Park, the elwood's classic American Diner fare keeps Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings fans happy during every season of the year.
